Building a Sidescan Sonar

Hi, this is very interesting material !!!! As I am curently also building my own ROV (http://myrov.spaces.live.com) I am also looking to buyild my own SSS.

Is it correct when I day that the towfish is no more that an array of transducers (parallel) ??? Or is there more to it ? Does anyone have schematics that you are willing to share ?

what did you use for thrust motors

Interested in how you are making out with your project and what you actually use for thrust motors. I looked at your sight but did not see this detail. Thanks for the detail on the cable thru hulls however.
