check this out,Seaview interface box fishfinder.i found it by accident on the net.its a usb/seriel interface box with a 50/200k transducer with software to run on linux,win95,win98,win nt,an win xp.im waiting for a call from a usa dealer in florida for a price on it.plus emailed cruzpro in new zealand on just getting a price on the interface box with no transducer.will let you all know or you can email them yourselves.i checked out the software demo,its looks good,an will work for what we are doing here,much better then useing cheapo fish finder lcd screens.heres the links.
