Litterature?

Does anyone have any suggestion for litterature on how a side scan sonar works and could be constructed? (Preferably 'academic' level)

It contains lots of PowerPoint presentations used for a course in oceanographics. Academic enought it seems. But they have no list on literature. Dan Fountain has a good list on his site though:
