  • Where Did All The Pictures Go?

Where did all the pictures go? A lot of the information in past posts was in the images. Where did they go? Can we get them back?

    Thanks, Chris

If the pictures were linked to an external file sharing website, there is no way to retrieve the information. This is why we recommend using the attachment facility in the Geotech forums.

Do you have a specific example?

I don't think these photo's are linked externally. Most of them have an [img] tag of some sort.

      Here are some posts:

      Thanks for your help.

The links to the images are not correct, and may be a problem caused by switching Geotech to its own dedicated server. I'll ask Carl if he knows what's happened.

When I moved from my own home-brew forum code to vBulletin I found that converting the text (and maintaining thread cohesion) was very difficult, and getting the images converted almost impossible. So the images are missing.

But any that were uploaded as attachments I still have, and can re-attach them. I don't have time to do this for ALL the images, but will gladly do so on a request basis. Just list the posts in this thread and I will get to them ASAP. (The 2 posts you listed are done)

I have some of Sture's schematics here, that where used on his last completed sidescan before he passed away.

I believe that most of his designs are lost. (in that way that the company of Sture's brother have adopted the designs and are producing sidescans for sale under the name SH-xxx, Swedish Sonar Services.)
