The FX3 is a differential induction magnetometer. It comprises two induction coils wired in series for gradiometric operation, going into a high gain DC amp, thence to a precision full wave rectifier, the output of which drives a VCO.
If you want it produce a static (no motion required) response, you'll need to add an integrator to the output of the DC amp, including a tweaker pot to adjust out offset-induced drift, and a momentary switch to zero the integrator. With an integrator you may get a lot more sensitivity in bench testing but no matter how hard you try to eliminate integrator drift it will still be a limiting factor.

Hi,
The Fisher FX 3 mag cannot be used without motion. It is a induction magnetometer.
No matter what you do to the circuit it reguires motion.
You need a fluxgate magnetometer like the Schonstedt 52b
