I haven't looked at it deeply. I have absolutely no idea at the moment.
But interesting and novel concept.

have tested the pre sell version last weekend
unit has problems with my wet loam / clay ground in the garden
think it is e result of uneeficient shield grid (etched pcb shield)

indoor in air it works good but on heavy wet ground ?

is anyone interesed that i make a special test / testobjects
distance test in air etc?

More probable cause is inadequate GEB. Wet clay surely has GEB somewhat skewed against the ferrites.

It has a self calibrating mode, and a indicator for mineralized soil.
But in the manual ist written that you can continue when mineral ground is detected it is no problem.

In air i got good result for such a small coil, must see maybe i do something wrong while calibrating outdoor.

IT works also like a cable finder (maybe pinpointer) if you hold button 2 the performance is decreased 30times.
