A document on electromagnetic induction, its applications in metal detectors, and signals extraction
An interesting document detailing demining - but from chapter 2 onwards, the principles of electromagnetic induction, as far as they apply to metal detectors - some food for thought regarding various physical configurations and terrain/target responses. It doesn't touch the topic of electronics design as much as it does electromagnetics applied in excitation and reception, and quite a bit on the extracted signals processing. The main area of the document is frequency domain, but the implications for time domain measurements remain.
