I'm afraid those are fine only for splash proofing of your equipment, it mentions MIL-DTL-5423 which does not define pressure.
Those are fine things to have and make your rig ready for extreme conditions, and give it a professional touch.

(I'm still seeking a good watertight box for a detector that I'd take with me for a dive - no luck yet locally)

They look to be equivalent to APM Hexseals, which White's and other manufacturers use on water machines. Amazingly, they work well down to 100+ feet.

Could it be that these are undercertified?

I'm thinking of a more intrinsic solution... put everything except a coil in a good watertight box, add lead to barely float, and a few sacks of gypsum plaster to suck any eventual water spills.

Not just splash proof, are IP68 rated ,protected against the effects of permanent submersion in water like a navy seal

Probably undercertified. APM seems impressed that we routinely use their seals to 100 feet.
