HELP just put batterys in my xlt the wrong way round sorted someting HELP

Just done a stupid thing put voltage up my whites xlt the wrong way round any one got any ideas to get it going again ???tryed the 1n4 diode with no luck when i try switching on nothing but when switching off just get a line on screen momentarily need help

I find it hard to understand why the inbuilt protection doesnt appear protect

where are or wot do you call the supply's ? i traced volts to the first diode removed the diode tested fine but replaced any way would need circuit diagram with the things i should test marked if iam going any deeper ?

right ordered the lm2475 ic as it reads 2.5 volts and not 5 volt so iam assuming this may be the problem ?

I HAD gave the link above and THERE I HAD WROTE - check ouput voltage NOT ON OUTPUT OF LM2475, check the voltage AFTER CHOKE.
open datasheet and LOOK THERE TYPICAL USING DIAGRAMS.
