Hello everyone, I've built a few versions of this circuit and found that the 4558, in place of the K157UD2, works very well. It produces crisp clicks and has excellent sensitivity. I don't have the K157UD2 on hand to compare the two, but from the videos I've seen showing the performance of this Soviet chip, I can say that mine is just as good in terms of detection depth. I used a 2.2M resistor for R11.

K157UD2 nothing else. Or buy a Surf Pi Kit. You could buy a PCB from the Barracuda PI and the Parts from Tayda electronics. PCB + Parts is about 25-30 Dollar.
Or a complete Kit from Silverdog ( Silverdog.co.uk).

    Barracuda has a good depht about 30 - 35cm for a Coin.
    LM301 is cheaper than K157ud2 0.55$ on tayda https://www.taydaelectronics.com/lm3...8-lm301an.html

All the component of the pcb of hammerhead cost 6$ with speaker

I tried very much to buy Brakoda From Silverdog But Mr. Andi refuses to sell it to me On the pretext that he is afraid to lose my money

The pirate did not convince me, I used the TL078.

I mean, the pirate is too simple, better is for example a surf PI kit

With only a few parts, it is quickly set up

I also built it, it did not convince me
    - You are don't convince by the kit or Pirate detector ?
    - Is it LM301, k1157, TL078 version ?
    - What do you recommand also cheaper ans simple ?

Ask hammerhead for his layout. Its the one with the russian OPamp. This one is the best.
I like the Pirat Pi. Depht is 25cm with one Euro. 25cm coil. I use a smaller one 16-18cm and im satisfied.
Its good when i dont want to dig big holes.
    - I can replace the k157 by the lm301 directly without making any other changes?
    - Will that be as good?

    - Have they the same performance (depth, stability, clear sound...)?
    - What project do you advice (cheap, simple to build and adjust) ?
    - they have many version and PCB of pirate. I don't know what is the best PCb and version (LM301, TL078....) ?

    thanks
