Is Egypt again full of tourists and people on the beaches?
Would be good for your work.
Many turkish people say that there is no longer democracy in Turkey
since the last years but this is another question.
What is for shure: There are no longer many western tourists at Turkey
because they don't wanna spent their holiday-time in a land full of attacks!
by the way this is the same as with Egypt.
For unscared guys this is good because so the prices for the flights and
hotels are very low.

Anyway - do you have now a clear plan to either get a metal-detector or not?
Perhaps the best would be when you buy already some completely ready to go PCB!
Maybe someone from this forum can offer you such complete circuit board so all
you have to do is attaching it with a coil, speaker, switch and battery. Enjoy the beach!

Ask at the government of Alexandria if there any archaeological underwater researches
are going on and that you are very experienced in finding stuff buried underwater in the
mud and sand.
That way you might get official some unterwater-metal-detector because you need
some to find the artifacts.
You have the worldwide famous Lighthouse Of Alexandria which was 1 of the 7
antique world-wonders directly nearby so I would look for valuable remains of it.

Here a little gift for you, it is a paper-model to built!
You only have to find out what means the word: glue !
Have fun and I hope you have access to a very big printer!

good that you are back and still interested in geting a working metal-detector.
My opinion about the ukrainian facebook site is:

It might be useful for you if someone sends you "electronic parts" from there
because of the cyrilic writing so others don't know its a metal-detector
but are you shure you can solder this thing together without any manual?

Oh by the way a little joke for you:
With the hammer-head I am using at my little salt-mine I even can open bottles!

Such funny gimmicks come from China.

Apropos: Perhaps you should order a handheld-detector because it is better than nothing.
Or you may get one from a security-company from Egypt. Also Casino or airport persons
may help you.

Or you improve your treasure-hunting without metal-detectors.
You could dig near old ruins with special tools you are already used to handle very well.
Perhaps in the summer-months you could dig inside some caves or cellars.
Have you heard about any treasure-digging scene at Alexandria so far?
Ask around there and you may find people who can directly help you.

Internet is like reading a book or watching a movie - you also can read blessed books on the internet or watch honest videos.
And I'm shure you mainly are using it to get a working metal-detector.
At the moment I am on a cruise from Venice to Cairo - but only inside of a detective-computer-game for PC called "Raven".
Its about some precious jewels with the name: "Eye of the Sphinx".

because long time nothing heard from you.
However, with all the electronic parts you have meanwhile plus
the available schematics you should be able to built some detector.

and also climb the pyramids - take some stones and sell them to the tourists!

High heat is relative - some electronic ICs or power-transistors can withstand
heat over boiling water temperature for longer time, some will burn sooner or later.
As a precaution you should attach or glue at least some cooling-metal there, a heatsink.
You also can use lower voltage if the metal-detector circuit then still works.
Does it detect something already anyway? Good Luck!
