Battery opption ?

I came across this and just wondered if it or another of these battery banks could be used to power a MPP , Surf Pro or any detector for that fact.
Would be nice if it could would save a lot on batteries, maybe longer run time. Just a thought, I see it is only 5 volt though.

Making anything run on rechargeables is largely a job of finding out the upper and lower voltage limits and setting up battery packs to replace the single use packs. Most rechargeable cells have lower internal resistance than single use cells. In some esoteric cases this could be a problem. Adding a charger circuit and charge port would likely be part of a complete modification. Most detectors run on 6-10 alkalines unless they have an internal rechargeable battery, so using an usb voltage thing could be harder than just using those AA cells.
