Toros,Originally posted by Toros View PostI personally miss Ivconic in the forum and I would like to see him again here.
Does not it seem to you that thanks to him go the forums of IB detectors. Currently all activity is focused on off topic topics and PI detectors. In PI detectors, there is an increasing interest in the topics of elementary detectors - Pirate and if even more elementary.
This wicked development of topics in the forum can not currently be overcome by administrators and moderators. People like Ivconic are needed, who are able to develop a subject and constantly keep their interest with new ideas and answers to questions.
There are many knowledgeable members in the forum, but neither of them shares their ideas openly, just as Ivconik does.
I am totally agree with you!

Talking in past tense... the guy is alive and well... just doesn't want to do anything with the forum.
Many valuable members have left, this is just the way it is.
People should give more credit & respect to the ones shared their product of labor and giving away help for free.

Good advice.Originally posted by steaua581 View PostI apologize if i am a bit off topic here in regards to Ivconic, i am no "guru" when comes to electronics, just an passionate amateur, i also have lived in the US, Germany for many years. What i have noticed(i am here on forum for some years) is that "East Europeans" tend to express themselves in a different way and sometimes might "sound as if" is bad language or aiming at someone. Unfortunately in most cases is not true, having lived on both sides of the world all i can tell you is "you take things too literally". I even notice some use a "translator" to communicate, yet they get upset ?? We learned English and so its not our "native language". I always do my best but i know sometimes i can express myself wrongly, therefore i shut up!
We have to call for "peace" here and work on some nice projects, after all this hobby is a passion and as i said don"t take things "literally", ignore and move on. Everything will be ok.
Just apply the tennis rule, the fair play game and shake hands at the end

Everyone needs to remember that this is a technical forum concerning treasure hunting technology, and not a platform for sniping at each other and posting personally abusive comments.
Although it's true that misunderstandings do happen due to language problems, these are usually resolved fairly quickly with an apology. However, some people seem incapable of holding an intelligent conversation without name calling, and the administrators have to step in and bash a few heads together.
In Ivconic's case he decided to leave of his own accord. So, I repeat ... he has not been banned. He's probably angry at the moment because he's unable to login to the forum, as he now believes that we have disabled his account. This just shows that having a temper tantrum, and then changing the email field in your account to a fake address (with a very rude name) was not a good idea. This triggers an automatic forum response which sends out an email confirmation to the [fake] address, that renders the account unusable until the new email address has been confirmed. Of course, all he needs to do is send an apologetic email to admin, asking us to fix the account.
If you've been a member of this forum for any length of time, you'll be aware that Ivconic storming off (vowing never to return) is a regular event.
Now let's move on, and get back on topic.
