Hi bernte_one
This is 10 years old Pulse Induction project published in Slovenian magazine "Svet Elektronike" (World of Electronics).
Detector has no specific name, only generic name: "Detektor kovin" which mean "Metal detector". So it is not "Kovin PI".
It could be named according authors name "Tomo PI" or according his surname "Berend PI".
PCB is still available at magazine virtual Shop page:
As well preprogrammed micro AT MEGA 8:
You can pay by Paypal too, but buyer should be registered first.

It is classical micro PI. Comparable with Stuart PI. Dedicated to AT Mega micro lover.Originally posted by bernte_one View Post
Do you thing it would be a good simple diy detector?
There is a lot to play with front end (coil, damping R, ignition transistor, diodes, OpAmp ...) to get best results and possibly learn something new.
