The LF356 exists on the legitimate stores such as Digikey, Farnell, mouser ... , and it does NOT work as good as the LF357. but LFx57 does not exist (LF157, LF257 and LF357). I can not trust Chinese distributors, specially when the component itself does not get manufactured anymore.

we use LF356 in our board XR-71

of course it works, but with sensitivity decrease. because it introduces lower GBW and lower Slew rate.

I can not buy from eBay directly, because it is an American company and my country is under sanction.

Apart from this, how can be sure that these parts are original when the main manufacturer has stopped their production?

I have bought 5 LF357 so far and all are fake. Nothing shows this by looking at Chip package, but when we put it inside the circuit it does not work properly, then we realize it is fake. it seems they are other opamps such as 741.

"I can not buy from eBay directly, because it is an American company and my country is under sanction." what country because despite what others may tell you i have not had any fakes from ebay as long as went with premium seller in uk (have to be careful as lots are drop shippers now and that is where you get fakes) and pay a realistic price not just the cheapest we have a saying here " you pay peanuts, you get monkeys..." sorry you are under sanction but if you can get ad797 it will work adeqautely and there are few fakes of this chip as there would be no point as at 450mhz bw it will be apparent in short order if its a duffer the noise levels would be ridiculous.

The sanction is for the country Iran. The only problem is eBay, it does not mean I can not buy from this UK seller directly. The source of many local/online electronic component sellers in my country is China, therefore I hardly trust them when the source is China.
regarding fake parts, I did not check the seller, if it is UK, therefore yes you are right, most likely they are genuine chips. But the real price for this component is less than 2.0USD, but because of the shortage it is high now. I have also bought AD797 some time ago but it seems that part is also fake :-)) anyway AD797 is not a Jfet or BiFet opamp, besides it does not offer a high gain, but it offers a high bandwidth.

Not because of a chip or whatever other materials, it is because according to the US department of treasury and Sanctions, no American company can have financial transaction with Iran. eBay and Amazon are American companies, therefore I can not buy from them and they don't ship to Iran. Therefore this applies to the Digikey or Farnell or whatever other companies which are American.

Other non-US companies also afraid of doing businesses directly, such as AliExpress or Alibaba or similar, because they afraid to falling in trouble with the US laws and penalties. people are the only victim of politics.

There are legit component suppliers even in China, buy from big distributors and not from aliexpress or ebay.

The most important thing is the purpose for LF357, not knowing the circuit it’s hard to say what replacement is good.
