Dominate Freqs of New Vanquish??

It's just like a hair dryer, digitized, with a color display, soft buttons, BT, smart and recognizes hair type... and it costs $xxxxx!

I have a Nokta Simplex Lite here, new out of the box.
And I have an ML340.
I need to choose one of those two.
I already had Nokta Simplex+ a year ago and sold it immediately after a couple of days. My first outing decided to sell it right away.
Then somewhere on the forum I wrote why. Listed everything that bothers me in real work.
Lite came unplanned. I immediately noticed a much better handle and stem design.
The best I've seen so far. Not only from Nokta products but the best ever in history!
Lite therefore has a perfect stem and handle. There they reached the highest peak.
Detector operation. In room conditions the "depths" are fantastic.
My old complaints about the vertical box and tall connectors still stand. It is still not a good detector for steep climbs, rocky areas and thick bushes.
Compared to the ML340; Lite is much "deeper" and more specific in behavior.
But... then the story took a complete turn at the last test.
Lite is unable to see a Roman bronze coin behind an ancient Roman brick in the slightest.
Not the slightest reaction, nothing.
What a shock! And I was already 99.99% ready to choose Lite.
And then the ML340 showed its worth! It very clearly and unequivocally sees the same coin under the same brick. With highly accurate and stable audio and VDI.
And that's what only counts at the end of the day.
Just like Simplex+, Lite goes irretrievably into oblivion.
All that will remain is fact that the Lite has the best stem and handle ever made in the history of metal detectors.
Does the point of these two long posts get to your brain...my friend... my simulator friend?

I always had doubts between Vanquish ML and Nokta, now the Multi-IQ benefit using ML makes sense, thanks for the feedback.

Dave Johnson was clearly on the mark a long time ago with the CZ series... let's be fair and remember that great genius!
Although CZ does not literally work according to the same principle, but the background theory is the same.

Yesterday I read the "white paper" about Multi-IQ and everything is clear to me.
That's why I decided to comment on the ML340.
ML did it well.
It has proven itself in practical tests to be accurate and efficient.

With only a single frequency the LITE can only interrogate the Brick OR the Coin .... so after cancelling the brick at 15 Khz there is no signal to detect the coin.

Everything I stood up for the Deus for 12 years; I still do.
Still keeping it. Still going out outdoor ONLY with it.
But you don't get it.
Before XP even existed; I already had several dozen machines from different manufacturers by then.
3-4 of ML. And was very pleased with them.
The last one was the Explorer SE.
Everything that came out later (VLF I/B) was a mere repetition of the pinnacle they reached with the Explorer SE.
And then I started to ignore their products further. But this Multi IQ is something new (for me).
I wouldn't have noticed that if it wasn't for the low price of that detector, and that intrigued me.
As I said before; I was wondering why someone so big and powerful is coming out with such cheap models?
Otherwise, as far as I'm concerned, the XP Deus is still the best machine I've owned so far.
Not the most expensive, not the "prettiest" ... the best overall, taking into account my subjective conditions and preferences.
Of course you know that. Someone who spills patents like water... can't be so one-sided that he don't understand simple things like this.
If you are bothered by my posts like the previous ones; I will help you and explain why, despite everything, why I sometimes write such an "essay" from time to time.
I am primarily always driven by the spirit of the forum and the desire to say something to the community and suggest or advise something based on personal experiences.
You belong to the more advanced members of the forum, someone who has initiative in researching things in detail.
Luckily you're not the only one.
And I am an experienced detector user for many years. What is said: "end customer".
A good engineer, thinker, inventor, would always have to take into account the experiences and wishes of the end customer.
Merely playing in simulators and with mathematical formulas does not bring anything prosperous... if it does not benefit the end customers.
You should read some of my "essays" with great care and proper understanding. Because from them you can conclude for yourself what is worth on real fields and in real life.
If the work of people like you does not coincide with the ultimate aspirations of the user; the whole story is meaningless. Both yours and mine.
You waste your time drawing various graphs and writing endless theoretical approximations.... and I waste my time here writing what is truly valid in real life when searching.

I have no strict intention to get it, but they have multiplied on the domestic market and it is possible that some of them will fall into my hands.
I have watched countless video demonstrations. Simple to handle, it couldn't be simpler.
Why would someone as big as ML deal with such simple things?
Why not leave that part of the market to the weaker ones?
I found the answer in one of the videos I watched.
Multi IQ technology seems to have become so cheap (for them) that they can simply implement it in fairly cheap detectors.
Even with a little money, hobbyists can feel the benefits of this technology.
What did I see in that video?
Very stable behavior of sound and VDI numbers.
Uncompromisingly accurate and stable.
And what else? This is more important!
The fatal problem of masking small targets by a highly mineralized layer; is mitigated to a good extent and even overcome in many cases.
This is what other cheap machines cannot do.
I don't want to repeat the old (bad) practice and name brands, models, etc. here.
But it's obvious that the people at ML didn't disappoint with their IQ this time either!
With the Vanquish 340 model, everything is spartanly reduced to the essence.
And that's what I like.
The circle is closing. Finally, we come back to the essence of using a metal detector... which is the end results at the end of the day.
I don't know, I'm not sure, maybe I'll get the 340 model. To help me in situations where I don't need to use Deus.
Over the years, I increasingly like machines with as few adjustments as possible, which do the work themselves.
The bottom line is to find a find and not to play video games in the field for hours.
I will deny my many years of negative attitude towards ML and I will say that with the Vanquish 340 they made a good step forward.
But I'm not so naive to believe in some of their altruism, either!
It is obvious that the 340 model is a "trap", a teaser, an introduction to further fueling the imagination of beginners, to switch from that model to something much more expensive.
In any case, this is a win-win combination for them, for sure.

THOSE ARE THE DOMINANT FREQUENCIES, someone HAS checked.
BUT ..... just because it TRANSMITS four frequencies doesn't guarantee that in "MODE xyz" it only pays attention to three of them etc, and an oscilloscope is NOT going to tell you that.

For what it's worth, I would assume all 4 freqs are being processed, which is why the 4-freq 'Beach Mode' was chosen for the Vanquish, rather than the normal 3-freq transmission of most Equinox modes.

Yes, that is why I asked for dominate freqs, hoping someone has a scope and has checked. Probably will only be a couple freqs showing full power and usable for detecting.

From what I've read, it appears to always operate in permanent Equinox 'Beach mode'. That is : 7.8kHz; 13kHz; 18.2kHz; and 39kHz.
I don't have the machine myself, so cannot independantly verify/not this info.
Of course transmitting 4 freqs does not guarantee it is USING all four freqs, though it seems likely that is IS doing so, and the various modes are different only in details like discrimination settings etc.
