OK,I would glad to upload information about these detectors in the froum.I said that the psl and ll have versions with kinds of action to detect the objects.I have some versions of them and i`ll load some of it in the froum.Version 3 to up can discriminates ferous and noneferous carefully like LORENZ deepmax with 700-1300 pulse per second.We can design the samplying and op-amp section to discriminate the F and NoneF metal object.

About coins...well mostly coins are my passion. I had some founds on Creta even it was prohibited! Why? Well,
because I think that is much better any body to find them and dig, than nobody
ever. No big use from prohibition if state do nothing else...

Now about PS II . If u look at the meter it says Discrimination. So it must be a version with microprossesor? I am not familiar with PIC ..AT90s.. so i can not build one of them. Aban may tell us about the versions of PSII that he have. At the forum there is a schematic of PS with 2 meters. Can somebody say to me what is the second meter?

Hi Aban,
did U make one of this? I U have a schematic of any of Pulse star U mentioned
but without any speciall IC like MC68h... or Pic... I mean with conventional
concrete elements , so we can build it, why don't U post it here. Arguing with
good Geo I get idea to start all over again to build one PI. Because I left that
principle of MD some years ago.As I mentioned I made a XR71 or Delta Pulse
a years ago and I didn't like it at the time. Last couple years I build only IB's.
But if I had a good schematic of PI I would like to build it.I have PS II, pics
posted here.I am interested of maybe earlier design of PS but as I said without
some spec.components.

About Your post, I do agree with U 100%.Me my self, I do occasionally some
constructions just for hobby and love for that matter-metal detectors.
Some of them work fine, some of them not....well that's life. I do have a
few commercial models, they are very usefull but still something itch me to

If You please go with it outdor on the field and try it, and than post
some results to me(or us here).I would be very interested to see those
results.For example You try it on 3 items: 1 coin, cola can and a bucket.
On the ground and after in the ground. With a conventional coil from
10cm to 40 cm diameter , not 1mx1m !!! If Your results are satisfied then
I'll be first to make that device at once. But You have to be fair in report!
For that construction thing....well as I said before I am not really good
constructor at all, but I do have some expirience with detectors, especcially
outdor on the field...(for some 20 years and a few(50-60) machines so far)...

I believe that PI machines are very good with large coils. With 20..30 cm coil and out of water you can use an IB machine who have good sensitivity at small objects and very good discrimination. I do not like to looking for coins or other things because here in Greece it is prohibited. But for educational reasons the next month i will try a true test at a field and to write at forum.
I have not any reason to not do a fair report. I just constructed a machine for my hobby not to sale it. My hobby is the construction of metal detectors.I have construct a lot of machines the last 30 years so i believe that i am in place to understand if a detector is good or bad.

Yes i am from Greece and live at a small town.Creta is a very nice island. I lived two summers for holiday.

You put the things on the wrong place

I made XR71 and Delta pulse 2-3 years ago.
It worked but very unstable.Maybe I am not
good constructor,but there are very critical
points in the project which U just can't
adjust without high tech equipment and
instruments as big companies have in their
labs.
Sorry but i think that you are not good constructor. Last week i finished XR71 and it is very stable. It is not so sensitive as Lorenz with coil 1m x 1m but it is very stable detector. All detectors must have good and clean pcb and good quality capacitors.

Pi and nuts

Fellas...Fellas..
This is a real Pulsestar II
Price was 3000 usd some time ago.
Best PI detector in the middle range ever.
Someone mention MC68H...processor in it.
No it is not.There are two PIC's.
Aparatus is not hard to copy and make as
U see on picture, but where to find a HEX's
for those PIC's. Besides I own PSII for some
years and I am not thrill with it. In the air
it can detect a Volkswagen Golf II at 3.5m
range,but in the ground ...??? It is very
unstable on some fields which makes it
unusable.I am sorry to splash somebody's
imagination and dreams but this is naked
thruth.With its coil 45cm radius it is
suitable for occassional finds like any other
detector.When U test it in the air U be very
satisfied ...but in the ground...average.
I also tested Lorenz with the same coil and
results were even worse! Only one of PI's
which really stoned me was some Minelab with
DD coil !?But the price was 4300 e.
So at the end what are U expecting of home-made
XR71 or Delta Pulse? Ha,ha,ha!

(which is not).It is early German design(kit costed
120 DEM in 1990.)and there is schematic
