Yahoo! The worst BS ever..!

Last few months, day by day, i had/have more and more problems with Yahoo!
Not only that it goes slow,unlike anything other i try, but it is acting more and more like virus,trojan or what ever?
I decided to destroy it in my computer, and to destroy every possible trace that it existed ever in my pc. THE WORST BS EVER I SAW IN MY LIFE IS YAHOO!
That idiotic imbecilles from Yahoo gave theirself freedom to interfere more and more in private stuff. Watc out friends! I am sure about this!
And they and whole Yahoo! can SUCK MY D..K! I am so mad due problems i got from Yahoo!....i am ready to kill!
First doubts i had before 2-3 months. So i installed some stealth software and traced every process...day by day...just wanted to be sure about source of my problems. Now after all those time i do have some finds and proofs that all bad things came from Yahoo!
It is also Virus; why,how?? Simply, it is so pesty, whenever i try to install some utils, at the same time yahoo toolbars are installed....???? I never wanted to install any of those yahoo trash! Never!
Also 90% of cookies are produced and pointing to some of yahoo resources...
Latelly my pc is "blocking", my yahoo mail is going so slow, i am pushed to suffer so much idiotic animations during opening mail...etc.etc.
Today i did series of testing and checking and again found out that all the troubles coming from same crap - yahoo!
It is easy to see by yourself; just install some tracing software and some process explorer and you will see.
It is a pitty cose i have to change my mail. I will leave that dirty place and open mail account at some other place. Pitty is cose a huge number of people already know my mail...now i have to start all over again..
I do have some ideas, but still want to hear your opinions;
where should be smartest to open new mail account? Which mail service is best? Unlike ****y yahoo!

Hi Ivconic,

I know you don't like Norton, because it seems to slow down your system, but it's the only way to surf safely (IMHO).
Personally I think you should find a network provider that includes email, so that you don't need to use one of the freebies.
All the computers I have set up for family and friends are virus-free, unless they've let their virus protection expire - which has happened on a couple of occassions. After that they've never let it expire again.

For mail G-mail come to mind, but i dont use it,not sure.I´m using my provider´s and its fine, as Qiaozhi says.
For antivirus, i really like Kaspersky, as i also had problem slowing down the PC with Norton.

I have not problem with Yahoo!, no problem with Gmail, no problem with Lycos, no problem with anything, no problem with destructive viruses.

Don't know why EVER Ivconic has problem with viruses.

find a copy of Avast antivirus... keep it run in background and forget about viruses, it will find on the fly everything coming from the network and stop it before will make you crazy. Put a huge software or hardware firewall also if you didn't already.

Then most important: don't use MS Internet Exploder... it's addicted to all the MS ActiveX(ploders) things ..... use something else (firefox, opera, etc etc) and set security options in your new browser to conservative as you can but that leave you just surf the network.

Yes, you got that right! I already have "my" provider with included e-mail. But that e-mail i am using just for some special purposes....not for wide mailing...for now...
Than i have 5-6 various mails at yahoo. Each one for different purposes. I organized that long time ago...and get pretty used on that.
But last week i got gmail e-mail....it is working perfect as Esteban said.
Much better than yahoo. No advetisements, stupid videos etc..
From now one all of you can use it instead yahoo mail;

Again...it is not if i like or dislike NAV...it is just very idividual...things i am used for longer period, i just dont like to change...thats me. Thats why i am so mad abot Yahoo. I used it so much time....now must change all mu habits....damn!

Yes Max! Alvil Avast turned to be pretty useful in over than 80%... I am using it oftenly. But latelly some new malicious software appeared and Avast is incapable to detect those.
For example today i "collected" some strange win32:xxx which mask its location very good, pointing to system32/blahblah (non existing folder)...while executable and dll's are located on quite other place...very smart.
This is not new "technique" at all. Usually Avast can solve this, Adaware also...but today didnt. So i downloaded 30 days trial Troyan Remover with latest update and soved problem at once!!! Piece of cake!
Sheeessh!!!
But you know what? Source was Yahoo!???
I spit on yahoo!!!! Not the first time i noticed this!

You know what!? I've been thinking for some time to drop windows and switch to Linux! My son already using Red Hat...
In '80.s i used to work much on Unix platform...was a Cobol programmer at the time...
I do hope, switching on Linux will not put me in problems?
Windows is nice....like pain in the ***... it is time to toss it!

I do have feeling that Bill Gates lost all control...long time ago. At the time Win95 was a hell of a system! Later Win2000NT showed as excell OS! I just loved it. But now XP and Vista are all "money"!?
But as you already know, we are "pushed" to follow new staff due keeping up to date with majority. That was initial idea of Mr.Gates....how to earn more money. Nice. I dont disagree with that.
But bad thing is that some serious interest groups put all interest on this...and we have here "portable CIA packages" at every home!
In deep,blur "water" always bigger fish eat smaller one...
So many other, smaller "players" took freedom to missuse giant resources we have here, using .net and Microsoft platforms...
I dont like that, reminds me on great George Orwell and his "1984"...
At the moment man can choose less evil by switching on Linux...but this is only temporary .... cose i noticed that Linux is not safe as it used to be in '90.s....
Anyhow...i am simple man without secrets, dont have nothing to hide. I am just tired of wasting to much of my time by maintaining my system on daily bases. Instead i could use that precious time much better.
I do not want to bug myself with various sick intentions.
For example, now, this forum is quite nice place for hobbysts like me...Still if i want just to comunicate with you here..i need to keep my system in shape all the time, to void some intrussions and simillar...Not cose i am gonna loose some precious information, but cose my system will crash easilly and i am not gonna able to come here and enjoy talking with you...Constant pressure...

I am telling this here, cose i do remeber some better times, in the past...It was real joy at the time..to do some usuall things like visit forums,share, exchange...etc... Now, these days...even those simple things became torture...
Many of you will claim that dint have any problems...as Esteban...that is because you are not awared what is going on, in your machines...
But me...i am "old school"...from early DOS/Unix/CPM days... I never let my pc to "think on its own"...I want always to be awared of all the actions in that small funny box. It is a kind of habit...i guess. Cant help it...
Anyway...i am in preparations to switch on Linux in next week or two...
I'll keep you informed about first experiences...

It's been a while since i started to frequently use Gmail. Much better than Yahoo!
Yet i kept my old yahoo mail, although pretty abandoned latelly.

Just look error report! More frequent to see these days!

The Yahoo servers were hit hard with backdoor/win32 TROJAN / VIRUS on the 16th of april,last week. For your home computer the Best real time virus protection is Mcafee . Norton is good but it slows down your computer. Eugene
