Well so thats it.
Don't want to be negative so will be careful here,
but those little wires that come from the hand switch
look a bit fine for a clod like me who would probably hang them
on some bush or something and rip em in two.
So how much money does it cost ???

I think the battery had to be carried hip-mounted or under arm... but not inside the control box like in other designs that are really heavy cause of battery inside.
Notice also that , from what I read, seems this is the analog version that's different from the true digital one... with MCU.
So disc is analog from what I understand... this is the point.
Seems nice as proto but the most important issue with it is if can really disc metals or not and with which level of reliability.
I also noticed it has manual geb that seems really good thing on any MD , but in this case even more.
I'd like to see test results for it... and to hear if can disc out ceramics or pottery stuff... that's annoying problem with all my PIs... I hope someone will post these informations.

so , as I see, the thin wires are for button on the handle... and battery must be inside the box... thing that I don't like much.
But detector seems robust construction and if does just one half of what initially planned it will be cool having one !
I'm awaiting for more details... but I know this could be long process... about extensive testing in various places in the world.
I'm not in a hurry about my next PI so... I'll wait and see , and if worth I'll sure buy one !
My problems with PI are the dang pottery stuff... and fregments... that I can find in some places... just maybe 10-15% of places I'm interested but some are good places... so it was always boring dealing there with crazy PIs...
I hope pulsedevil will solve my problems there!

I was like Huh? no controls, anyway not sure thats the best place for them because

Yes it is for the button, seeing more I guess they could be replaced easy enough
and some duct tape could maybe help. Ok, it looks more like a detector now.
Though I guess the "perfect" detector would be Turn On and Go.
Auto ground and everything.
But then no endless discussions about how to best adjust the things,
and if someone calls and complains, just say you don't have it adjusted

Hi JC1,
Deep large targets produce a signal that is broad. Auto ground balance will very happily null out such a target treating it as a slow change in ground.
Notice the knob called RETUNE, it has fast to slow and Manual.

Glad Dave is getting some help from you (I read) he needs some help doing alot
alone. But still probably should have waited before getting too excited about
introducing a new detector. People have been asking for years now.
I still haven't found a price, sure there must be something on that even an estimate.
I also like the 10 turn pot knob, I use four of those on my homebuilt units.Comment

Did a little more reading. Looks like the autotrack is a real
track and not SAT which is good in my book, and can be
turned off, also good. From my reading it seems that you
designed the transmitter. I have a question, on the turn on
of the xmitter, is the voltage used for this higher than the
battery voltage to get the dI/dt of the coil going? This being
done to get a stronger signal on the turn on for discrimination,
closer to signal that will be received from the fast turn off.Comment

The Nemesis is 100% Dave Emery designed. You have misunderstood a post on another forum. Questions on "how" the Nemesis works can only be answerd by Dave as there are patent issues to consider.
