Here is one that definitely was White's "Best of the Best" Analog. Why did they discontinue this ? Too good for the price ? .............Eugene

Thank-You Esteban . Eagle II was whites turning point. Then the eagle II sl 90 I think was when whites started painting all the cases black and it also had more programs . But yours is a classic and is now a "Collector's Item"....................Eugene

                    the Legendary

Eugene, to your Top List GMT-1650. IMHO must be the center of Universe on near future time

The GMT 1650 is pretty much a 15 khz ripoff of the Tesoro Bandido with a 180 degree disc range and a split discrimination feature that allows very precise settings, especially in the low end. It has very fast recovery speed, great target separation in the low end of the disc range, hits hard on small gold and it's the best VLF detector I've seen for pulling nonferrous targets out of iron laden sites. Depth in disc mode is comparable to the older Tesoros, 6 inches or so on a dime and a couple of inches deeper on nickels and quarters. The last model was made in 1990 or 91 but not a lot were made and they are very hard to find. Links are to something on my website that I posted on a forum about it, a comparision between the X5, Goldtrax Baron and the 1650, Google site search results for 1650 in the archives of Carls Detecting Equipment forum on my website and the Lost Treasue field test of the 1650.

KT315 , Excellent Detector !!! I read somewhere the GMT-1650 was identical to the Cobra I, They just made the case different . Cobra II came later. They also had a "King Cobra" Sometimes it hard to keep track !! If I am Wrong please post The correct order of the model's. All I know is that their detector's were good and a good price, Around 1990 or so ........Eugene
