Hello Max , Fidel , Kmouly. The only free software for that chip was a "Demo" file . No full version of software was available , that I know of ?? And I believe the PD3200 website is gone . Do you have all the files and Schematics ??? If not , let me know and I can e-mail them to you . I think it was about 2 mb of files total ??.....Unless I am wrong , those PD3200 metal detectors kind of just dissappeared !!!....Maybe another forum member , will have some more software information !!.....Take Care..............Eugene

All PIs are unreliable about discrimination, this is not an exception.

But if you wanna make it anyway... why not? Could be a good project to do.

Only, I agree that you'll not find the original code for the MCU.

Hi Max , Yes , very similar to Fidel Castro . Both are Great Avatar material . But your "Pirate of the Caribbean" avatar you had on for 1 day last week was Great too !! The Pirates must be our blood relatives , because they love Treasure and Swords !!!!!!! Back to business , The PD3200 will be a good P.I. learning Project . But , I have not heard from anyone yet , that it was a Great Machine ?? If it was Great , we would find a website and prices and order information !!!!! And we would have heard plenty of "Positive Feedback"...............Eugene

yes, you're right, it's in the blood... some of my ancestors were, really, pirates!

But not only... I think Captain Jack Sparrow would be really scared of being boarded by them...

The PD3200 ? Uhm... I think really it could be good as experience, but I don't trust decay curve method for discrimination... totally unreliable stuff.

The fact it disappeared means that probably too complaints from people who made it convinced the author to shut down the website...

It's boring answering all the day to disappointed customers...and a big waste of time.

That's why companies like Tesoro and White's or also others are so good on business: customers are satisfied and they could concentrate on doing MDs and money instead of answering emails!

The program was sold to too many people having their own "PI discriminating model" and thus sold from those companies with different
name only and a price of several $$$. Yes you get overpriced piece of "ti-it" which normally costs 40-50$

very amazing for me you are still not conceive the situation. the people who did PD3200 shared FREE code of MCU. yep it was demo code and without a discrimination but for DEEPER you know the disc like FERROUS-NONFERROUS is not so important. so you might been get:

1. good deeper, with the free code and LCD
2. all without any $$$ charge
3. sens was not been especially decreased (Kolokolov's and Schedrin's PI demo code has ALWAYS especcialy decreased sens, for example - if you are not yet in course)

The famous "Che" Guevara. Doctor in Medicine. This man was Argentinian. "Che" in Argentina is like "hey!" As he use "che" in conversations with the Cubans, "Che" become in a nickname. Also I (We) use "che" in conversations in this Río de la Plata region.

Quick to knock it

I don't know how good it was at discrimination but the videos on the website were pretty impressive. The reason it was pulled was because a deal was made with a metal detector company (either sold or licensed the design) and it is commercially manufactured now.
