Is anyone using the JAE waterproof connectors? I'm looking at the JB5 series and am wondering it they would be good for use on a shallow water beach machine?

I could not find the right information, but the fact that they are only water proof when mated and not air tight, seems to say that they would be OK for soft rain but I would worry for a hard splashing wave.Originally posted by hobbes_lives View Post

The JB5 connectors are IP-68 rated. According to the specs, JAE's testing included a 48-hour salt spray test and a 24-hour submersion test at 2 meters.
The panel mount connectors are around $21, and the free-hanging connectors are around $35. Those are Digi-Key prices.Comment
