It is OK if you warn about scam, betrayers, obscure miracle rods etc. but don't create the impression here that Jeohunter falls into that category too!

The Nokta is totally overpriced and costs 2000 Dollars more than the Jeohunter but it also works well if you listen to Hobbyists reports.

Geoscanner gave a very good explanation especially this one:

The software is the same , the coils are the same , but not so good like MAKRO.The depths are the same like twins.

This machine cannot detect open caves or voids .Only closed for many years. It works perfect for this type of voids and caves.

Hi my friend.

The NOKTA and MAKRO company is not the same.Was partners but after a fight seperate.After this the one partner open a new company the NOKTA. Taken the plants of Jeosonar and made the GOLDEN KING with new graphics.The software is the same , the coils are the same , but not so good like MAKRO.The depths are the same like twins.

This machine cannot detect open caves or voids .Only closed for many years.It works perfect for this type of voids and caves.I dont either speak turkish language but i can show you some photos in meters range.No i think is better to show you all the construction of the test field.

A most interesting clip, Geoscanner. Thank you! The Jeosonar looks a lot like the Nokta Golden King. Unfortunately I do not understand the language spoken in the video. Can you please provide a translation of the salient points (eg type of technology, type of target, depth of target). I tried to estimate the depth by referencing the man's height, but that is not accurate.

I also wonder why the machine did not detect the cavities which had the targets inserted into them. Thank you again for your trouble.

commercial VLFs are not perfect, all we know, nor are homemade clones , sure...

But any VLF with geb is fairly better than ANY PI or two-boxes in that kind of conditions.

I say that cause tested many commercial and homemade units , that's my experience in such places. Yours maybe different ?

Then, as said before, if you like detecting caves and bricks it's ok for you rely on PI... if you like why don't ?

Simply , I don't. Not good for my taste digging bricks and wasting time and efforts for nothing valuable.

Thank you Max. Yes, there is no such thing as the perfect detector. That is why I must add to my modest collection. I have been looking at PI detectors that can operate on land and in salt/fresh water.

Max, thank you for your valuable input. To some of us (me in particular), a "false" signal indicating a cavity instead of the actual pottery/bricks is happiness. Not all treasures are made of gold and gems (though they'd be very nice to find too!).

The soils I frequent are seldom fraught with bricks or pottery, so that which is your bane is my boon. Out of curiosity, which commercially-made VLF detector would you recommend if one was not seeking bricks and pottery?

BTW, I do agree with the false signal problem with 2 box detectors. It is a major problem in the area I'm working in now, and I've put aside my TF900 and use the Nokta NGR most of the time now.
