Hi did you get my message in your private box? What is wrong with your ADSIII and what city or Country are you in? Because I have all you need in paper form for my personal use they did Not want the competition back then to copy or anybody else so the First ADS you can see the IC's but later on starting with the ADSIII the numbers are black out on IC's they are mainly from all the Garretts I have repaired have CD4011 CD4016 and LM358 and CA3290 and some other ones also there is a black small module completely seal that after 30 years not even I know whats in it but know the symptoms if it's that do you have a photo to see what condition yours is in? cheers

does anyone have a diagram of the garret ads 3? maybe a photo of the electronic board where the values of the integrated circuits can be read?

GARRETT COIL MOUNT TO SHAFT

Hello once again Alexcheve
If you can get a nylon bolt all the better,but original ones are made
of metal anyway.Since they are placed in the neutral detecting part
of the coil,the center.Regarding how tight,just enough to hold the coil
at a comfortable angle for you to detect.Hand tight but not loose.
Get a metal bolt with a small butterfly nut on it.So you can hand tighten
when you need to.But never overtightened.They are easily available from
Garretts spare parts or any hardware store.Just take the coil with you
to try the different sizes to get the diameter right,so it's not loose.

Thanks for the manual! one important question I missed before is about what can I use to attach coil to arm as the detector I bough at a garage sale has no screw there. Can I use an ordinary metal screw? Or does it need to be plastic or aluminium? Can be loose? Hope you can help here too

getting started with a bit of practice you should be O.K
Try on the automatic first,because is more stable (if it works properly)

I have same VLF/TR Deepseeker detector as pictured here but I have no idea how to use it. Do you have a PDF of the manual? I tried to get into Garrets but page is not active. Hope you can help. Thanks
