Hi!Originally posted by vikki View PostAnyone ever made a pcb design to go with this schematic?......
Schematic diagram of White's Surfmaster PI metal detector - a good quality, simple PI (Pulse Induction) design with an affordable price. Detects all metallic objects with unbelievable depth and sensitivity, on the hardest-to-hunt black sand beaches and in wet salt.
Has anyone built this?

I made it with ApBerg's version (long PCB) and BLACK version both
works very well.
For coil you can try 0.5mm wire and inductance arround 140uH
Resistance max. value = 2R.
Believe me... it's a simple but very good detector which I use usually
on beach.

O.K. Thanks......
Going to take a stab at building this one, did anyone have any pcb's made up for this one, before i dig the old light box out of the loft. Is ferric chloride still the choice for etching boards? For the people who made there own board, which layout did you use(i'd do with a square type board, not long type) oh not surface mount as i have 200 watt soldering iron

ALL schematics of metal detectors you see and will find in webnet have been taken ONLY FROM GEOTECHOriginally posted by vikki View PostAnyone ever made a pcb design to go with this schematic?......
