Any of you boys and girl know anything on this machine bought it in with a few other items a while ago, it brand new and boxed it works ok when first switched on but after a few minutes it behaves erratic ie beeps when it feels like it, then nothing.
im after circuit and imformation and anything else on it please.

If i dont get feed back soon it will be a flying object out my workshop window like many other electrical items in the past then pictures of it will be posted on here bit by bit, and then some smart *** will tell me what a good machine it could have been with a few repair/mods... everyone has a story sure of that been in this trade.

It's a rehash of an old Tandy (Radio Shack) detector. Probably a 4003, or similar. It's not the 4001, as I have one of those. As you might expect, these detectors are cheap and nasty T/R detectors with very poor depth, and made in China. Some rogues sell them on eBay as high-end professional detectors, when in fact they're just toys.

I suppose we could all guess at the cause of the problem, but the only cure would be to take it apart and probe around inside.
