Hi everyone
Has anyone any experience of this machine.It takes seven D type batteries.
Main question is could a small sealed lead acid battery be used, belt mounted,
to reduce weight.

If you use the same voltage, without problem.

The only difference is in how long other type of battery last, more or less than D type.
It depend of batt. capacity.

As seems your detector is for underwater, so belt-mount is not the best solution for diving.
