Merc, I replaced the ground balance pot in my original Bandido with the exact same pot you have used, because the original became scratchy. There have been no discernible problems during the last ten odd years.

    hello merc

can be that the self inductance / capacity on the multiturn pot works like a choke too and not like a pure single turn pot? i have a lot fantasy

Well I ended up adding C18 back to the board. Without it I could not seem to ground balance properly.

You are a star, Merc. I was just going to see if our PCB man could do anything with just the black and white image of the copper. Now I will present him with these! Thanks.

FYI, I just noticed a slight possible discrepancy between the Gerber the layout and the Gerber files. After I had milled and assembled my board, I decided to move the speaker ground to place it closer to the regulator ground.

I do the PCB layout with Kicad. Within kicad I export a Gerber file. I then use a piece of software called DeskPCB that takes in the Gerber file and does the trace isolation for me and outputs the G-Code which my V90 uses directly. Here are the original Gerber files and the G-Code which is tweaked for my machine. Since I had to zip everything, I stuck some other files in there as well.

It is possible to migrate Kicad to Eagle. Don't ask me how because it was someone else that did it here in work and they have now left the company. I suppose I could do some research though.....

Merc, what layout package are you using? Would you be prepared to let me have a copy of the Gerber file? I have a CNC available to me and would like to duplicate your experiences.

The only change I made was to remove C18(30pf). This seemed to improve sensitivity a small amount. I noticed that other Tesoro designs using FETs did not have this capacitor. Also, the GMT King Cobra(based on Tesoro design) uses FETs and does not have a capacitor in that location. I did not change the board. I can post a better black and white image if that is what you need.
