  • Graphite Mix with wood glue

Just info, for who have difficult with water based varnish like me, you can use wood glue as mix with graphite powder.
With 3-4 layers brush it have resistance bellow 800ohm per inch, im not sure about square inch or square like someone mention from post.

I stick a small square of copper (slug tape works well) down first. Makes adding the drain wire easy as you just have to paint the graphite over it.

i cover graphite layer then i sink a naked wire in plastic, i have silver covered wire from cable, in points like whites does it in their coils.
i can cover a layer over still one time.

Can i use conductive silver lacquer instead of graphite paint for the faraday shields?
        Will it work better?

I think you would find the Silver responding as a target.

Use this for instant shielding, better than foil...

those blankets are ok, BUT you have to be carefull that there is continuity from end to end , hold the blanket up to the light and check the edges of the folds, the edges tend to wear thin and go open circuit, check with multi meter.

Does somebody know which bare wire i should use for a graphite shielding?
I mean the one at the outside. Silver wire? Or is copper ok?

Can i spray an additional layer graphite over it to fix the wire?

best choice is silver coated wire. i take it from tv-set soviet-made cable.

How much Ohm s should i have around the coil? I have only 100k Ohm at the farthest point.
14k where it begins to the shield.

I had 4k Ohm everywhere before, but then i noticed that i have a short connection between my shield and the wires.
I had to remove the graphite paint and i added an additonal layer of epoxy glue.

How much is usual for a graphite shield? Do i need to have the same resistance everywhere?

Same resistance? Yes i think, at least close. Im not sure what is the maximum resistance allowed, but as dons pdf its have 32kΩ from end to end using graphite spray 33 wih 20cm diameter coil.
For me lower is better, bellow 500Ω/inch is good maybe, i have 3kΩ end to end.

Thanks, this is very good without bare wire.
Is this white glue with graphite? I think i should give it a try some day.

32k looks reachable for me. Maybe 4k too.

a good possibility is to recycle the shield foil form old ftp Network cable, or foil shielded scart cable
if i look around i say enough unused old cable in my house (old Standards or never used parts)

just cut the insulation along the cable and pickup the shield material

The problem is that i will need an additonal insulating layer which fixes the mylar tape.

I got now about 10 k Ohm everywhere with my graphite shield, i polished the surface and it helped a lot, this was without an additonal wire. I will add this wire too to reduce it to 4 k Ohms or less.

I have only a few mm left in the housing , i think a foil shielding will be too much.
I also want 40 cm. Im not sure if this is possible with the mylar foil from network cables.
