There's a single screw in the bottom of the battery well. Remove it, and the face slides out. It can take some effort as it has a double o-ring.

screws maybe located under facia panel decals an also several deep inside the battery compartment to open case.

    Control Box Disassembly

Does anyone know how to remove the cover from the control box?

Also the connectors are made just for Garrett, so if they won't sell
one your only option would be to change the connector on the control
    box.

I know members over on the "Infininium Prospector Network" site have been discussing over and over for some time. Aurum Seeker is currently rallying people to send emails to Garrett lobbying for a larger coil, specifically an 18" mono. I have joined in too and have sent my email to Garrett.
I would similarly encourage other users of Infiniums to register interest in a larger coil with Garrett.

I too would love to know if anyone has tackled this as a private project. I haven't yet, but would very much like to. I just don't have an Infinium yet.

I've tried to PM a few people looking for that circuit but had no luck. I suspect someone will need to sacrifice a coil and the required time!

    Has anyone tackled it?
Has anyone traced out the front end RX either?

    Cheers

Has anyone been able to put together a larger coil for the Infinium? Every time I think about that machine I pull my hair out that Garret was so narrow minded.

4 or 5 pin DIN plugs

Has anyone ever found a source (other than Garrett) for the 4 pin connectors for the Infinium and Sea Hunter?

    Thanks,

Internal circuit of standard DD infinium Ls

    Hey.. Hi
Wondering if the standard DD infinium Ls uses a internal circuit, similar to the mono's.

*Any one know what pins go to ground on the Infinium Ls 4..pin plug.

    Great Forum... "Happy New Year"

Hi BB, yes just what I thought. I called Garrett and of course I was told that the coil technology they use is proprietary. I will keep looking and thank you much BB.
