Had a friend pick up one of these for $8. He says the battery won’t charge. He checked and a new battery cost $60. Any way to fix to accept AA like the V3i or TDI? Just thinking odd battery voltage

because USA is not so poor county price expensive. throw out Ni-Cad sells (4 pcs) from bat enclosure. set Li-Po.

The same battery housing was also sold for standard C cells.

The guy doesn't know if the unit even works. Thought I'd run jumpers to the internal power connections and apply 6 volt DC and see if it powers up before trying to make him a battery pack.

i used 2 lots of 4 AA batteries,(same volts more current) making the same size of housing by rewiring an 8 and a 6 battery holders

I made leads from the case and used a 6v lead-acid battery.
