There is only one detector better than Deus - it is Deus with larger coil!
Me again.......................playing with the pitch i managed to emulate the lobo st its fun and now....................i got a lobo......................i m using TX3 even on iron saturated site and i m in all metal its hard but rewarding.................for the thames river Scout or tesoros with 4" are strongly advise but my friends last time we did a survey for the museum of london in tower bridge deus stole the show big time.............and trust me we did get the goodies out.
A short story......some of my friends are searching spot who have been done for 30 years to death..............they are hard baked soil on top of hills........my friend (a deus expert) is 26 so no way he could have been there 30 years ago because he wasnt born
So the other day he went there (remenber those spots are "the sound of silence") 8 coins came out plus tiny bits of lead and bronze.I asked him advice once i bought mine and he caem over in the uk for a week and we tested it on the river for the lenght of his stay. And trust me a lot of stuff came out during those days once again on post regularely detected.
I know what are you saying, i also "made" almost complete "emulator" of Cscope 1220B on Deus!
In the past i had 1220B and still keeping best memories upon it.
So after Deus arrived and after i played a bit with it; next thing i tried to master is it's nonmotion mode (pp).
So with a bit of patience it can be turned to very deep "1220B" actually!
Than why not in "Lobo" too!
...
The other day i discovered something very interesting.
I changed frequency in Gmaxx program to 12kHz and walked for a mile like that with it.
Maybe i am wrong; but i have impression that it works much better like that than at 8kHz?!
Good evening IVCONIC i ve been using the deus on super satured iron site with quite a lof of success.............i dont mind to share my settings pm or email
RR
I was absent from here for a while. Now i see your post.
Many thaks in advance for such good will to share experiences!
I would like to see your adjustments because i am still novice with Deus.
What i usually aim with Deus are smallest coloured items in soil, up to 40cm depths.
Most of my soils here are highly mineralized and higly iron infested. Very tough soils.
So far ; XP Gold Max Power and Deus are only two machines that, i may say, satisfied me completely.
Of course; Deus is more advanced and better than GMP.
Hi Ivonics
You can do that and alot lot more with the DFX where by you can adjust not just the receiver gain but also the TX power just to name a couple out of around 30 settings which can be programed into memory slots within the detector for quick access when required.
So my point is what your saying is old hat far as detectors go considering the DFX was produced in the 90s.
The only bug bear with this particular machine was it takes alot more skill than your average detectorist can handle, which means 85% of machines that were sold were been used in factory preprogramed modes, which proberly is ok up to a point in the USA where made but works as a third rate machine over here in the UK due to are high iron content in soils.
These machines have options to use what they call signa graph which I doubt many use, within the display its giving you one large graph and two smaller ones each side which are letting you see what the machine sees so its then down to the user what he wants to dig.
I too have many bespoke programs Ive accumilated over a period of time for these machines and if there was interest would post under another thread.
Come to England and we can go head to head on a pasture field, I dont think there would be much in it between the machines, because by the sounds of it you know the Deus
like I know the DFX.
Its amazing that in the last 15 years or so nothing has moved on with the technical side of metal detectors, just cosmetic, colour graphics, bigger displays, more modern components, but end results static, considering you can buy vacume cleaners that remotely go round the house and clean it for you while at work for £200, and sending space crafts with comunication into the next galaxy, these industies are streets ahead consideing all we need is master the science of ground basics.
Hope all is well
Regards
I had Eagle IIc back in 1991. up to 1994. Later i had two Spectrums (fat one, older version). And few years ago i had DFX for couple months too.
Yes, those are having very detailed adjustments.
Almost everything you can adjust on those machines. And those are deep too. I like them actually.
But, on highly infested sites those can not compete with Deus. No way.
VDI at those White's is not that "clean" and accurate. Deus is still superior. Trust me.
Later i switched to Explorers. First i had XS and later SE. I was not very satisfied with XS.
But than i was very impressed with SE! Wow!
Yet SE later turned to be "slow" for me and my kind of searching. I needed very "fast" machine. And finally Deus came! Perfect for me. Just perfect.
So, i know what are you saying, i understand; DFX is also splendid machine. Will satisfy on most of soils.
But on some very mineralized and iron infested soils it will fail for sure. I know.
"I've been there already!"
VDI bars on DFX very often confusing me on such soils.
Oh man; you don't have slightest idea how much i would like to come to UK!
Next country, apart from Serbia, where i could come and stay and live; certainly is UK.
But i think that will never happen. Because i will need lot of money to make "fresh" start there. And i am aging (46), to late for that.
But, be sure that i will come there to enjoy couple of weeks, ONLY IF/WHEN i discover something "goldy" with Deus!
I am working on that!
Cheers!

"..In DEUS, the signals are digitised at the coil terminals, so this also eliminates any static that cables or control box electronics might receive. Once the signal has been digitised in the head, it can no longer be affected by electromagnetic interference like conventional detectors..."
"...It would be misleading to talk about pure power, but DEUS can offer enhanced power as a result of adapting the detection parameters more closely to the particular ground characteristics, which makes it far more efficient.
So although the power of the wave field emitted by DEUS can be adjusted, it is important to realise that you will obtain better ground penetration by adjusting the detector’s frequency, reactivity speed and ground balance according to the actual environment you are detecting in..."
"..Despite the battery’s small size, the power of the coil is at least as great as the Gold Maxx Power, for instance.
It is difficult to explain in just a few lines as it involved a great deal of research.
We optimised the efficiency of various elements such as the coils and the amplification stages. There was also the choice of a high-capacity lithium battery and leading-edge electronic components that were more expensive and precise than those usually found in metal detectors.
These highly efficient circuits waste far less power: It'sa little like the ordinary incandescent light bulbs used in the home which are very inefficient, actually losing 80% of their energy as heat; compared with that of LED lighting, which uses all its energy for light rather than heat!.."
Deus is No1 for me.
But, recently i saw C.Scope CS6MX on several Youtube clips and was overjoyed with it's behavior!
Haven't chance to see it in "vivo" yet, but i am looking forward to that.
I don't expect C.Scope CS6MX to beat Deus, but also i would like to test it, because i do have long term experiences with Cscope detectors and i do know that they "mean business" for real.
So i would expect nothing less from C.Scope CS6MX.
C.Scope is really serious manufacturer and i always expect best from them.
Besides; Deus is tiny and kind a "fragile" which makes it not perfect for very rough searching conditions. Also it's price do not allow me to risk much as i can do with cheaper machines.
C.Scope CS6MX looks much more rigid and more suitable for hardest conditions, surely that's will put him as best possible Deus's companion in my collection!
Until i get chance to obtain it; i would be very interested to hear experiences of somebody who already own it. Many thanks in advance!
