Ivco, I have DEUS too, but it seems that my soil is pretty ferrous and the depth on GMP program is about 25 cm for 1 e coin buried in the ground. In the pumping ground balance I get about 85-86. What is this number in your soil? Do you have any advices, as an expert in DEUS and at all? I will be grateful.

Forgot to point important detail; all the testings were done with two Deus's at the same time, one in V2.0 and another in V3.1, same 22.5cm coils too, same programs, very same adjustments too.
Programs used were GMP, Gmax and Fast.

    Hello Ivconic,
Very good analysis and thank you very much i have friend here in Mexico with this detector and your comments are very useful what i can say when i see your ultimate post por the version 3 and 2 better ...it is LOGICAL ...i know it before when your detector was more " calm" because the sensibility was cut and logically the detection depth.....for me always i put first my " balls" in the electronic circuit with coil and second with the " software" i do not trust implementation of the version ...i do not trust miraculous upsoftware

Writing previous post AGAIN i got time out!
Again i had to torture my self to madness and beyond... to achieve such "complicated" task, as posting single post is!
Carl thank you for being so affable and making our lives here easy!
That's kind a thanks and friendly feedback we, the dedicated members, do deserving here, right!?
Reason i am posting my experiences here are dozen really nice people i am tied for... otherwise you would never again see me here, i swear!
This place turned to place for torture and lot of nerving lately.
Thank you for your forum "improvements" you did lately.
    Cheers!

    Dang!
    Bad news!
Before that i simply must express my truly regrets because of me being always the one who rocks the boat... sorry but that's stronger than me, simply in my nature.
    So,
latest field testings showed to me that V3.1 is significantly "shallower" than V2.0 !
Yes; V3.1 is "calmer" and more stable... but also much shallower too!
    For example;
byzantine "M" Anastasius; large folis bronze coin 30mm
(actually copper in huge percentage, we call it here "bad bronze", always tougher for detection than coins made from high quality bronze)
buried at 30-32cm in highly mineralized soil is very good detected in V2.0 and almost not detectable in V3.1, both GMP programs with same adjustments!??
    How this can be!?
I was more than surprised myself too!
    Daaaamn! Sheeessh!
Small Turkish silver "Akche" Coin, buried at 15cm in same highly mineralized soil; in V2.0 detected with suspicious signal, in V3.1 not detected at all!? Again same program and adjustments!

And so on... and so on... and so on; over 20 buried targets in same soil; always got better (significantly better) results with V2.0 than with V3.1 !

I don't know what to say nor what to think!? Completely confused!?

I tend to believe that this "problem" is rather related to new and improved filtration in signal processing at V3.1, which was announced and explained several times at manufacturer pages.

I am sure V3.1 will be indeed beneficial to ones who mostly search for clad coins on infested areas, parks, beaches etc.

But for me, in my conditions; V3.1 surely is not beneficial.

Again (third time this month) i returned my Deus to V2.0.

So far Deus V2.0 doesn't have (not even closer) competition for my kind of searching here at my place.
I would really like (and be honored) to host Alain Loube here and offer him real testings on real soils we have here, mostly ancient Roman&Byzantine sites and mostly heavy mineralized and infested soils.
So far Deus V2.0 showed as best possible machine for such conditions.
    ...
Sorry for being the one with a bad news... but hopefully this will "alarm" people from XP to do something about that.
    Cheers
    !

Along with this denarius i also discovered 20 more bronze coins too.
But those are very low quality, not worth to mention them...
    ...
What to say about V3.1 ?
Everything works smooth, no complains at all.
Will need a bit of more time to adapt on it's audio which behaves different from V2.0.
    Everything else is just superb!

    P.S.
Is it just my imagination... or Deus Fast program works bit smother and better than in previous V3.0 ??
