Being only single channel the DSO 150 can do quite a lot checking a detector but not any good to check phase relations. you can take a look at the over all timing on a PI step by step and see the receive signal decay. DO NOT measure strait off the coil. The DSO150 is limited to like 20P/P on the input. Handy for looking at your Sample Delay signal. The Freq Counter function is handy. It Can produce a 1K square wave test signal good for chasing audio issues. Good at letting you see noise issues on the signal train. For the Price $21.00 shipped here in the U.S. they are well worth it.

Homefire, is that worthed to buy for $5? Just for do quick test on md?Originally posted by homefire View PostOrdered another DSO 150. Seems I dropped the last one a few too many times. I like the stupid things for quick look see on things. While ordering I tried to put a tracking number on the order and ended up with two ordered. Didn't catch the mistake until too late. LOL Guess I have a spare back up for when I drop this one too many times, eaa? After putting this one together I may be able to do one in my sleep. The adjustment button on this one was funky and will not stay on. Looks like it may have been 3D Printed.

LOL Heard of those a while back BangGood is better I think. Ordered Two of these and NO issues. just popped a 500G Sata in one for Mother of all Back Ups and a 80G Sata in the other for regular use. Broken Lap tops with SATA Drives are easy to come by. https://www.banggood.com/ORICO-2599U...r_warehouse=CN

Counter works quite well with the 5 digit limitations. The Crystal Test Osc is Chit. You would need to put a switch bank piggy back board to cover better range. Yes it works. If you extended the Display off the PCB you could Box it and look cool. I'll use it or swap it off as barter material. LOL

Could be tempted to buy one just for fun, do they actually work ok ?Original Hiland 1Hz-50MHz

Added to my Toy List.
Original Hiland 1Hz-50MHz Five LED Display Frequency Counter With Frequency Oscillator Kit
1-50Mhz Frequency counter
This document describes the construction of small frequency counter with a
cheap PIC microcontroller and a few seven-segment LED digits. The main
features of the frequency counter are:
· frequency range 1 Hz ... 50 MHz
· five digits resolution (display for example x.xxxx kHz, x.xxxx MHz,
or xx.xxx MHz)
· automatic range switching with different gate times
· optional addition or subtraction of a frequency offset (programmable)
· optional preamplifier for the input signal
· very low component count: a PIC 16F628, 5 7-segment LED displays,
a 20-MHz crystal and a few resistors
· optional (configurable) power-saving mode which automatically turns
the display off if the frequency didn't change significantly within 15
seconds
Less then 1 hour of construction time.
Uses ? Not Much. LOL with only 5 digits it would be Ok for audio work but not much else. Built in Crystal Checker is some what worthless. Osc will not fire up with crystals less then 8 MHz as built. This can be fixed by increasing Cap Values in Osc.
The M8 Transistor Tester(Ver.12864) is a much better option. Not only does it have like 8 digit freq display it performs many more task.
1. Resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors, SCR, and most commonly used devices will automatically recognize and measure
2. The capacitance line measurement capacity and ESR
3. The square-wave generator
4.PWM pulse signal generator
5. Frequency meter function
6. The graphical display of measurement results, easy and intuitive, the whole function is performed by a rotary encoder switch control, easy to operate.
Still not constructed the DSO 150 O-Scope. With the DSO-138 on hand not had a need.

With some luck you can draw some schematic from it and built it.
(btw. kt315, I did not follow any of your advices for these pix
the pictures were taken inside a room, macro-mode & flashlight)
LEDs shining red -> yellow -> green
2,4v red weak
3,6v red medium
4,8v red medium, yellow weak
6v red medium, yellow bright
7,2v red medium, yellow bright, green weak
8,4v red medium, yellow bright, green medium
The connection through the diode was connected with the device
and the push-button doesn't interrupts it. This is good because
batteries which are providing just some mA for LEDs look "full"
while reality might be totally different if they have to "work"
(when they have to provide something like 100 or 200 mA).

Received the DSO150 kit the other day. Funky you have to work on the main PCB with the TFE Flopping around. Instructions tell you as step one to power the main board up before step 2 thru 7 putting components in place. LOL. No time to mess with it . Working on the Car. .,,..Hope I didn't mess up the LCD before finding out it flops.

yup. it's the curve tracer and i hope to get the pics on o-scope. the pcb had soldered, ended. i make a power supply, need bipolar voltage, +15V and -15V.Originally posted by homefire View PostIt's for checking Linearity of Transistors ?
i try to fix Pro Series 9001 power audio amplifier on my job and need to select the power transistors. BTW made in USA device.
