    Simon,

As I make progress I will try and post some pics.

verkoop je ook een magneto gradio meter met een audio signaal om te gebruiken om metalen voorwerpen in de grond op te sporen.

Do you also sell a gradiometer with an audio output or a small speaker so I can hear the sound and see if there's metal in the ground?

            Hi,

Just a few novice questions about your DIY gradiometer kits.

            1) I see the example you show has the sensors in a verticle position, can it be horizontal, if so what are the differences ?
            2) Is logging of data still to a phone or can it now go direct to an SD card ?
            3) What size and shape of object can it detect to a depth of 0.5-1.5m ?
            4) What are the free softwares that can use the saved data ?
            5) What is the grid size for the depth range in question 3

            Thanks

            Observations

I don't like buying from websites that don't give their location/postal address,
eg component suppliers that have a European address then ship from the US; don't you just love the after taste of those hidden taxes.
The about you link is not very interesting tells me nothing about the company history and who is behind the company.
Website is just another slick site without the personal touch.
On video links you have left some peoples question unanswered. Have the feeling I ain't going to get any answers.

@jan stam It has built buzzer!

              @Infamy
              1. Yes it can be done, but much better result you got in vertical position.
              2. Data can be recorded on your phone. But there is also SD holder on board. You need to add your own code for recording. In correct FW is not supported.
              3. Hard to say. Depend on many things. Screwdriver ban be easy detect up to 0.5m or more
              4. Yes, on phone only.

I'm one of the owners and development engineer. We stay in Slovenia (Europe) and yes, now it has some custom fee for export to USA. The final price, I'm sorry I don't know.
FGSENSORS is not new company. We are 10 years on market with sensors and development. Now we are under TREASURE HUNTER d.o.o. With AA+ credit rating. All information are available on internet and not hidden!

Thanks Simon, I'm in Europe so no taxes.

Can you clarify better results in vertical position. If it means greater depth then that is a negative for me.

The ideal system for me would funtion to maximum 2m depth and have a maximum 1-2m width for a 1m search grid.
Basically I want it to mirror a PI detector so I can discriminate large iron 0.5-1kg being the starting point.

Is it possible to alter the depth and width range by changing the distance between the sensors.

"In correct FW is not supported." not sure what this means.

                  Hi
Gradiometer is working by reading differences between sensors. Here is simple explanation how it work. https://youtu.be/sTFIUyL0-Ow?si=ocfgSKWbWjbEI-r4
It will work also sensor next to sensor, but it is much difficult to align it (I never try it)
Of course if you incise distance between sensor will incise also sensitivity. By my tests best result is from 0.5m to 1.5m distance between sensors.
Yes, I understand what you wont to do. Yes it will work. Some customers done it. You will got good discriminator for PI detector

I'd like to say that write data to SD card is not support in correct FW. You need to add it. There is free source code on website.

One final question, if I use this gradiometer in the vertical the controls and data storage would be at the bottom, would this interfer with how it functions?
I'd be running it like a mast on a boat and would not want weight at the top.

Came across this demonstration video yesterday. If it is that good I already have christmas sorted.
                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4dVpSk8B1Y

One final, final question. I looked at all this 15 years ago and one big problem besides having to build it all from scratch back then was the transfer of data
to a cad software that was free. Academic software was really the only option, it was powerful but very difficult to use. Also needed lots of bits and pieces to make data transfer work.
Is there any video or documentation that shows this data transfer process from phone or sd card through to software?

Oh dear an after thought out in the blue sky. What are the barriers to it working inside a Large PI coil. I guess they would have to have some sort of sequencer so one is off when the other is on.
Not as simple as some shielding solution?

In principle, it doesn’t affect the operation if the electronics are at the bottom.

It’s not difficult to retrieve the data from the phone, since they are saved in a CSV file, which can then be loaded into any software.

I don’t have a PI detector at home, so I can’t give a direct answer to that question.
In any case, you can keep the gradiometer always on and simply switch off the PI coil when you want to read data from the gradiometer.
