If I were Bruce Candy (the only character worthy of true respect in the MD world today); I would move part of the ML production to China.
Because China is now at the beginning of a real explosion of the metal detecting hobby and it is the most powerful market in the world today.
There are Chinese people who have never heard of the USA and the UK... they don't even know where it is... but everyone I've talked to so far knows very well about Minelab.
And all these people have very high criteria. Minelab is the only one with a chance in that huge market.

Carl and others, I want to clear something up once and for all.
Do you really think I care that much about how my stuff sells with the help of this forum!??
Mainland China with its countless internal trading platforms is such a large market that it will take me another 20 lifetimes to sell goods there and still not satisfy even 2% of that market!
Guys, is this clear to you?
This forum and the trade through it is not enough for peanuts for my parrot, on a daily basis.
But I've been on this forum for a long time, I consider myself very loyal to this forum, I have a lot of friends here...
and of course I'm glad that people on the forum have the opportunity to buy something from the rich assortment of products that we usually have, and for now selling only in the Chinese market.
In the next couple of months we plan to publish some of these products on Aliexpress so that our forum friends can buy them. We'll see how things go.
But take my word for it; more than half of the Chinese in China have never even heard of Aliexpress, they simply don't even know what it is.
I had a lot of trouble convincing my friend to spend some time and create an account on Aliexpress.
Because the Chinese market is so big that people there are simply not interested in the rest of the world.
It seems strange, paradoxical... but it is true. It helped me to cure strong prejudices that I had until a few months ago.

In the meantime, Lidarking contacted me via email and we found a way to communicate civilly.
I got the impression that the man was ok, he was just a little more irritated and temperamental in the beginning.
I can't say I don't understand it because I'm too temperamental myself sometimes.
The prejudices that we all have more or less towards goods coming from China are mostly to blame for such cases.
But I will emphasize; these are just unnecessary and exaggerated prejudices. Things are much different in reality.

I'm not going to mention the numbers because there will always be some forum jerk who gets it wrong... but so far we've sold xxx kits in China and about xx kits outside of China.
These two cases on the forum are the FIRST TWO AND THE ONLY TWO such cases so far!!

Precisely!Originally posted by Carl-NC View PostIf this is a kit project, why are there no instructions included? Are you expecting buyers to miraculously stumble across these forums, and then dig through a bunch of posts just to figure out how to apply power? As I understand it, the project includes an SD card so you have the perfect opportunity to include PDFs and videos.
I will have to check with my coleague but that's exactly how I planned it to be. SD card must include all the docs, software and info.
Yet... keep in mind that I am here in Serbia and thigs are done too far away from me ... say approx 7 500 km straight line distance!
This is the usual content I add to kits I sell here in local:
P.S.
Carl... let's be real!
What do you expect from people who will persistently not connect the battery to its place, even when it is explicitly repeated to them several times!?

I don’t understand what needs to be done - if I make a return and they send me the money, how will I send it back to the seller?

Credov... you will do anything possible - just not what is right!
You brought 5v to the sensor power points!
Ha, ha, ha!
Is my English that bad?
Is it so hard to understand what I wrote in previous posts?
Is it that hard for you to understand that you need to connect a regular 3.7v Lipo battery to points B+ and B-?
I am more and more convinced that you are a prankster who came here to make stupid jokes and troll this whole story!

On Aliexpress they told me that power should be supplied to contacts B+ B-, 3.7 V.
Without instructions it is not clear what and how to do - especially since the board does not indicate that the power supply is 3.7 volts.
I will test it soon and write about the result.

I applied 5 volts to the board and the device did not start.
It does not respond to the power button, but the display backlight immediately lit up and the Bluetooth module LED began to blink.
What's been done wrong now?
