  • Found a pic of aReg Snif TDI board need help.

So I've been asking around for info on Reg's threshold mod. Everyone told me the didn't know the circuit he used and finally a guy that goes by SnakeJim on detector prospecter was kind enough to take his TDI that Reg moded and take pics. I was hoping someone could ID that yellow circuit board?

It's custom-made. Jim has sent me that very TDI to look at, I will then write up what all the mods are.

Thanks Carl I was having a hell of a time trying to reverse image search it to find out what it is.

Hi Carl. I'm revisiting this old post. Were you able to get any information about this Reg modification, the type of diodes, and the resistance value? Thanks.

          Hello Carl NC
Very good - I would be interested too.
And also how are the samplers controlled by the processor?
I see two transistors per channel - how is this done?

              Carl,

              Re: Reg's Mods...

I just got one of Reg's early "Pulse Scan TDI" detectors. It has two un-labeled switches. One switch above Power On/Off switch, and the other near the coil connector (see image below). Maybe you had direct contact w/Reg, and know something of this specific unit? I got this from his daughter, who lives ~15 mi away.

I still have yet to finish searching thru all of Reg's posts on Mods. I'm hoping to figure out these two switches functions. I'm leaving them as is, for now.

Early schematics would certainly help! I have TDI PROTO #1 (2015/17), and one dated Mar&Jun, 2024. Was the first TDI close to the Goldscan5 circuit?

              Thanks!
