Yes, version 3 is better.

However take attention to have the coil always connected.
You can get a short circuit to 7808 regulator if you disconnect it while the circuit is powered!

And in every case this solution do not increase sensibility.

Hi to all friends of this marvellous place!

I am a new user, an electronic hobbyest.
I have built Eldorado with success using the schematic and layout similar to the one present in this forum, thank you.
Sensibility? 1 Euro coin sound at about 25cm in air and undergound, it is enough for my experiments.

It works very well in normal and in discrimination mode but I have only one problem: I have bought an used coil.
This coil is an original tessoro 5 pin, concentric 8.5"x9.5".
The values about resistance and mH of TX and RX are as standard tessoro equal to the values showed in this web site and forum.
The problem is: I get a sound when I move the cable of the coil and as you know it is impossible to fix the cable perfectly.

My question is the following: this means the coil is broken or I have done something wrong in connection or something else?
Can I solve the problem? And if yes, what I must change to solve it?

No, seriously, first few attempts to watch the video failed and i got completely dark screen.
Don't know why is that!?
Than after several "Reload"'s all of the sudden video appeared and i can see it now.
Those things are happening, somehow browser chocks.
Your Eldorado is just alright.
Use some epoxy and fill the coil and let it dry. Observe not to spoil present coil balance, because it seems you made it right.
Box is alright. I don't like those bulky wires you put inside. You can try to shorten them as much as it will allow you.
Otherwise... what else to say? It is good. You made it!

im using coil by TGSL i have make many TGSL coil and i have tested all coil its work very very nice and reject all iron metal ferite almunium eldorado just detect gud quality metal
i just make change 3 transistor
