Do you have videos and photos of the finished, fully tested pulse metal detector to show the actual performance?

    I give you pics.

    sorry, did not build Felezijo.

    Hi Algan,

    thanks for your report.

Why not make your own Delta Pulse SMD circuit board? It's not really difficult to make one. You create your own SMD design based on your needs and send it to China for manufacturing.

star_schina did.

Hello everyone. I decided to build a DP. I couldn't find a place to buy a ready-made PCB, and since I work in electronics, I've had a certain aversion to pin-type components since the early 20s. I decided to make my own version of the board. First, I can't drill any holes, so the PCB has to be single-sided. With jumpers, of course. I did the routing, etched it, soldered it, and it didn't work. I probably wasn't diligent enough, and I haven't done any LUT work in a while. Apparently, there was a short somewhere, or even shorts. I struggled, but it didn't work. By the way, I have a version of the board; if anyone wants to try making a single-sided PCB for SMD components, I can provide the files. Then, I made a second version of the board, this time double-sided for SMD components, to order from a manufacturer. The board is 10 x 10 cm. It was made in China. I soldered it, and it still doesn't work. At test points TR3, TR3, TR4, and TR5, the pulses are as shown in the picture. The same thing happens with the coil connected. But I can't get any further. The signal after the amplifier on U5 is combined through analog switches on resistors R25 and R26. So what happens next? What shape or level is it? Even though I work in electronics, I'm not an expert in analog, so there must be a nuance there. How can I check if it's working? My circuit is practically identical to the "classic" one. I only added a few additional filter elements and slightly reshuffled the analog switches to optimize the layout. The resistors that are "recommended" to be precise in pairs are accurate to 0.1%, although they are listed as 5% in the schematic. That's clearly not the issue. I also divided the dual timer for pulse generation by two, since the audio generator uses a single timer. This was done to reduce the number of components. Maybe some gurus will look at the circuit. I'm attaching the schematic, 3D view of the board, and oscillograms.

    5) LM556 gives more detail than NE556 is that correct? I ask because I analyse the signals after survey, in post processing.

same chip, different manufacturers. no differences.
