op amp op-amp opamp and comparator LM339 LM393 tester

2a) Is this for sale with instructions?
2b) Do you have any other testing kit for sale?

i do some things for geotechers but they ignore me.
whole batch was sold at ebay but you can copy design. also chineses are selling the tester for not so expensive price.
I did also LC coil tester, for VLF detectors, no interest of geotechers.

how to check NE555 out of board... i recommended to buy simplest kit from ali, they are much there.
also, i did open big thread for all chinese kits, in the forum. transistor tester will later. you can check IRF740, diodes, electrolitics ESR etc.

Infamy, the folks on Geotech range from professional engineers to neophytes who can't even recite Ohm's Law but want to build a detector because they can't buy one, and have no oscope when things go wrong. Despite KT's sometimes biting tone, we generally do our best to help. For the neophytes I would suggest only building a project that has clear instructions, and always in stages testing each stage.

From posts 245 & 246 I can't figure out what your questions are. Maybe back up and let's deal with them one at a time. I can answer the ceramic cap question: "It depends." Often ceramic caps are just fine, I use them all the time. They can exhibit microphonics but whether that matters depends on where they are used and what performance level they potentially impact. In many detector circuits they won't matter at all. No idea on the DP because I've never built it. But what you can do is build it with ceramics, measure the performance, and then replace suspect caps with film versions and see what happens.

refund for what? show your board pics.
interesting note to compare high end amplifier with DP. i meet it first time here.
ceramics possibly have small piezo effect, that i know but not sure. in reality i am not able to check this. let Carl and George to answer you, they are profis.
anyway, you just touch general electronics basic... no relation to DP circuit.

You make a statement somewhere about detecting for all (logo?), you sell boards, you don't give them away and you won't provide a proper construction manual, what the story here?

Carl is working on First Texas, it's enough
I do NOT sell the boards, I HELP geotechers to do right things. sometimes. BTW you do not want to show your soldered board, why?

I think I raised 8 points and you failed to answer any of them.

sorry, just 1 point in a day i can answer. if i will give you the Manual and answer on your all requests this topic will soon be closed. while this topic is GREAT and must be open.

eg why do you sell some boards stuffed with ceramic caps, not very good design is it?

just you deep delusion. indicating me that you are at beginner stage. anyway, DP is good learning platform in PI methode.

If you don't sell boards then should I be expecting a refund?
Maybe you could explain why Dacs from the 1980s such as 1540 1541 when used in high end audio avoided using ceramics.
You fail to answer the question throw out an insult, delusional. Maybe you are ripping people off who don't question boards you sell stacked with poor quality components.
If its not a bad choice explain why.

For some one who does not give out proper information with the product they sell, that's you, its a ****ty way of doing business relying on others to finish the job fill in the blanks. Garret don't sell detectors and say if you want instruction look on a Minelab website do they. I'm working my way through that 4000s post link you gave and you moaning non stop as if this is the main feature of your life. Well I think I've stayed long enough in Geotech1 crap land

As I have said a few times when referring to the construction of a particular metal detector project:

Do not simply populate the whole board; discover it doesn't work (which will be the most likely result) and then post in the forums: "I've built the [whatever detector it is] and it's not working. What's wrong? ..... as you will receive little sympathy from the Geotech members.

In modern super fast track construction many elements can be happening at the same time? Build the roof on the ground then lift it in place with cranes.
Advantages fast and safer than working at height. Less saftey equipment needed.

This place seem like its stuck in a rut and unable to see from different angles.

You know I'm researching a book and I'm just trying to understand the animosity element of this detecting world, to people wanting to understand. Thanks for your contribution.

LM556, do you know the answer?

I had got billion of complains 'no sound'. and yes I do not know why the people have this problem. so I did two videos to SHOW VISUALLY in youtube how to test the sound because simplest text is not understandable for the people. the roof is sure first.

You know what gets me is when I read about "the fool put all the components in the board" and now here comes on here and wonders why it aint working.

Delta Pulse PI metal detector. 1 stage. Sound checking. Проверка звука.

    1) Please Sir can I have some more like all the stages?

you may test the sound with all components in board and without all with just sound NE555. you have to sure present as NE555 works in standart connection.
    if not...

2b) Do you have any other testing kit for sale?

    3) The second board I have for the battery? instructions parts list photo anything so I know what it does.

    4) I noticed you have a tendency to use ceramics where others don't, does this not give you resonance problems?

    5) LM556 gives more detail than NE556 is that correct? I ask because I analyse the signals after survey, in post processing.

    6) A description of what the following actually do would be interesting like depth for example, which components and what is adjusted

    DEPTH-min,atleftside,counter-clockwise
    DISC-min,atleft,counter-clockwise
    GEB-middle
    SENS-middle
    T/HOLD-middle

7)" Solder all IC’s and components, beside IRF740", poor IRF740 does it every make it to the board, what did it do wrong?

The next time some one comes on here with a problem and has stuck all the components on the board with out testing different sections of the board, think for a moment is this a Geotech1 problem, like lack of a manual !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS do you have anymore Delta Pulse rev 5 boards for sale?
