So, now i remember, it was 12 years ago.

Only if you have chance to peek inside Gold Bug 2.
Take detailed photos and list the component values.
That not need any desoldering or any other kind of disturbing or risking the circuitry.

    A little more updated.
    So far identified chips:
    MAX412
    MC33178
    TLV2262
    CMP01CP
    LM394
    TLC372CP
    27M9
    74HC4053
    4053
    LM358
    LP2951CN
    ...
    CMP01CP is interesting one.

    I don't mind such people.
It's only that i remember the times where more (than one) people were ready to join and contribute the work.

Yes the "digital one" with COG display.
But before it there were Gold Bug and Gold Bug2 in the same enclosure but with different circuitry inside.
Lahr's hand drawn schematic that is present on forum is Gold Bug (1).

That would only shorten my job here.
If not; if there are no such photos, list etc ... than i will obtain original Gold Bug 2 and complete this job.
Sooner or later. It is just a matter of time.
But if i do all on my own; it will stay only for my eyes in my private archive.
People if you want me to share; you shall contribute too.
I seriously doubt that there are no people here having Gold Bug 2. No way!
Serious contribution would be taking photos on details and writing down component values.
For that job one should have no fears about his device. Nothing "aggressive" to do there.
Only to open enclosure and peek inside. Take photos and make a bill of material.
The rest is on me to do.
And that's the way to have here totally disclosed Gold Bug 2 and future diy with improvements and modifications.
Otherwise... if this forum remains dead horse as usual... i will do all on my own. But will not share it.
    Simple as that.
