Hi, Mike. Thanks a lot for your response. Yes, I believe that the 156-PMD is my An/PRS-8
. Everything seems to fit and the description fits what littlebits on information I have already found.
I have been spending hours looking on the internet for information. I am using only 4 "C" cells but will now put in 5. I did sense one component warm to the touch when I tried to demonstrate howit wassupposed to work to my grandson. I will check the battery current draw to see if it seems too much. I would like to look up the Maintenance Manual MM/156-PMD to see if I could check it out further and get some readings on the test points I saw.
