    Quite correct Skippy, but saying coca cola is black is a moot point. Ferromagnetic distortion field in the frequency domain cannot and should not be dismissed as " seeing through iron". Maxwell turns in his grave. It simply gives the wrong impression.
    Of course, actual detecorists develop their own lingo. For example, I once heard a guy saying that the target was not "scrape worthy" if you could believe it. The irony ,of course, is that everything retrieved from non existence is ,by definition, scrapped.

        You're right.
        I once had a friend who named his aging car " Betsy". His wife always frowned upon that.
        " I'm gonna take Betsy out for a ride", he would say.
        He'd be gone for days. Upon returning, he'd say " Betsy broke down on me, sorry darling, it couldn't be helped"
