Haven't heard of this. Yes, you can amplify the TX signal on a VLF detector and maybe get a little extra depth, but you better have a coil with a really good null or you will overload the preamp.

I have been hearing about a coil booster, or a audio booster that goes in between the coil and the control box. I think that I am saying this right, if not then please let me know what it is called. If you know what I am talking about. Does anyone have any schematics for this type of device. I would like to take a look at it and understand it more. Thanks for any replies.
