    Hi Ap,
    Yes, the transducer looks very much like the one's you purchased from STEMiNC. I have found 2mm thick cork sheet at my local Auto Parts store. It is used for making car gaskets. Rickard suggeted looking in the archives of this forum for transducer building information. I have read many of them this weekend (we had a big snow storm here in Eastern Canada). You can find a link to the forums at the bottom of the the viewing page in the dark blue footer. There is lots of good transducer design and material information around number 100. Lots of the info is from Sture Hultqvist and others.

      Hi,
      The foam i have found in 2 different transducers were very similar double side foam tape .
      The piezo element was in contact with the plastic enclosure at the bottom,the foam tape above it and maybe all around, and everything filled with epoxy or polyurethane resin, only coaxial (sreened) cable out of it.
