Without a frequency display I couldn't tell the difference with the MUR460.

Does your scope have the capability to provide a FFT of the displayed waveform? If it does, you can see the frequency fairly accurately.

My scope does have a frequency display. I was just saying without one I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between MUR460 and the 1N4148 resistor combination (4 percent change in resonance). when it would be easy to see the difference between diode and no diode on a scope without frequency display(360 percent change).
