I just made the surf master pi from white's
and when I feed it, no sound, nothing reacts

did anyone have this problem?

try replacing ne5534. Make sure you have all components correctly soldered, check orientation of transistor legs, make sure these are correct, transistors with 2N are always ebc, while others are ecb. check orientation of ic's, check proper orientation of diodes and electrolytic caps, measure your power supply rails,+5v and-5v.

And you must, take better pics of top and bottom side of pcb so that if there is an obvious error on board, it can be easily spotted.

is absoliutely waste your time and our nerves.
i did that for Bara guys and i will do that for Surf guys. i see the guys take trash board pics from global net and
overload the forum by the hyperactivity nonsence. just they did not see original whites layout in their lifes never.

Hello!

Your coil is to close to the circuit. Keep the coil at least 1 meter away of any metal. To adjust offset you need oscilloscope, or use forum search to find out more about setting opamp zero volt. Play with threshold pot, need to be on the edge of sound, almost silent. Play also with delay pot, if to low, lower than your coil can go will have poor response or none! if too large will not be sensitive to coins.
