Hi,
I see from the picture your detector is a Two box. Could you comment a little bit the schematic? I see many frequencies connectors out of U5A/B. How do you connect those? How good it is in the field?
Thanks,
Claude
Hi Sevzirfo. I like the T/R locators so i look your shematic. It looks very good but i can't understand what about polarity. I know that on T/R locators we take the reflected signal so we can't know nothing about the metal. Can you tell me what is the polarity switch?
I think that you must amplify more the receive signal. I build a lot of T/R locators and i needed very good amplifying for good results(i believe that the receive must take an input signal 10uV).I like your transmit shematic.
Thanks
Good luck
Geo
Hi Geo!
The switch of polarity is made only for a choice of the best sensitivity.
The presence of the powerful transmitter gives not necessary the best sensitivity of the receiver and provides with steadier work of the device
Hi Gene L !
The search coils are made of a copper wire by a diameter 0.4 mm. 150 turns. A diameter of coils - approximately 390 mm. Tests of depth for air - sheet of iron 50õ150cm - 3m, car - 4m
Hi Claude!
The circuit too simple what to make comments
The sound works in a dynamic mode, measuring device in a static mode in one time.
Working frequency of the detector - 2 kHz. The frequency is not switched.
In a field the detector works very well!
Changing adjustment of the device it is easy to achieve good work without handicapes.
Hi Sevzirfo. Can the locator detect a soda can and if yes in which deep? In the air with the coils paralel in which distance the receiver can detect the transmiter signal?
By the way KT315 told me that the shematic of betapi is your. Can you tell me about the sensitivity of this PI detector?
Thanks
Geo
Thanks Sevzirfo,
You have all this on a web site also? Could you post the Circuit boards if you have them? Maybe Carl could add this Two box on the list of projects, the other two boxes projects are very old and pieces impossible to find.
Thank you,
Claude
Nice looking , I like your schematic, very simple and quite effective , please I want to experiment this machine, Tell me equivalent of the transistor KT815 because I can not find it in the net , all I see russian page difficult for me to understand,
Thank you Sevzirfo for your share, i think many of us are interesting to try this T/R ...
2. beta PI - at use the search coil by a diameter 18 cm, 1.6 Om result of the test on air - coin 25mm - from 16 up to 20 cm depending on a mode of search (with automatic tuning or not of automatic tuning)
Hi Claude!
Additional detailed photos of the detector, search coils and finds made by this detector you can see - http://sevzirfo.narod.ru/
The circuit was made on a breadboard model. I think, the circuit can be made on more modern components.
The project is completely free!
Enjoy!
