You cannot get a perfect square wave on the CZ TX. A higher resistance (say, 1k) will give you a more accurate waveform, but the peaks will still be sloped as you see in the 198R case. The slope is caused by the TX resistance, which includes the coil, the switches, and the cap. Asymmetry might be due to the caps, or might be due to the different P & N switches.

What are the differences between the "X" and "XB" versions?
Believe it or not; I haven't opened either of those two so far, I don't know if there are any differences inside.
But from the outside there are two differences.
In the case of the "X" model, two holders for 4 batteries each are connected with the help of "9V" connectors that are on the wires.
And it's a little uncomfortable, when closing the cover you have to deal with those wires.
In the case of the "XB" model, the holders for 4 batteries each are thinner and are simply inserted into the box, sliding, and at the bottom there are two wide metal contacts.
A much better solution. No wires!
It is easy to note that the XB version also includes an extra stem connection for easier breakdown/storage, though that isn’t officially highlighted in documentation.
              Also much better solution.

The only differences between X and XB, XB has a 3-part detachable rod and came with a case.

Also, as I said before... but look how they defined it:
                  "Drop-in, no-wire battery packs".
