I finished my Eldorado, it is very good, in All metal mod detects a 2 cm coin at 30 cm in ground, but its senzitive to potery and ceramics, , whi?
the coil is DD type, 28 cm.

I built the Eldorado, But Not the performance is the one you specified. Discrimination does not work. in all metal, detects a coin to 20 cm.
I want to rewind the coils, and will ask if you can use this type of cable, and connections shown in the schematic to connect the coils?
The detector is built after Ivconic scheme, thanks this way.

And I think the best will be...

Cellphote battery

3,6v -> 12V

hmm, I have a BST-33 3,6V 750mAh Li-Poly battery for Sony Ericsson K510i.

I think about use a MC34063E DC-DC CONVERTER.

In Step-up configuration.

Maybe this will be work, battery like BST-33 cost in Poland about 5-15PLN (2-6$) per one.

My Eldorado eat some about 25mA

But I thinking about how much eat will power converter, to produce 12V and 80mA.

2-3 Cellphone batts in wallet and go hunting with Eldorado

Tesoro detectors will generally work for about 40 hours or more on a set of alkaline batteries. You can buy these by the bucket load, so it's not really worth messing about with rechargeables.

Tx coil have 5,69mH.

I'm new here, and this is my Eldorado






Now, i waiting for FR-4 laminate to build coil.
I use DD coils ( 0,28mm coil wire), The coil size is 27cm
Tx and Rx coils are ready and shielded (aluminium tape).
Maybe in sunday MD will be ready to field test


The coils : ( I think about make new coils Tx= 5,5mH Rx=6,5mH)
Tx = 4,87mH
Rx = 5,63mH
Wire: 0,28mm DNE
Shield: Aluminium tape

Materials for making DD-27cm (27cm diameter) :
- Tx Coil
- Rx Coil
- 2x FR-4 laminate (glass-epoxy) 30x40cm 1mm
- 1x FR-4 laminate (glass-epoxy) 29x31cm 0,7mm
- Distal two-part epoxy glue
- 1,25m LIYCY 6x0,25mm Wire with copper shield
- Black or white paint, and ground paint.

Of course you know in this detector non-motion / threshold in All Metal mode and motion / silent mode in descrimination mode. See attached manual.

Otherwise hard to answer your question without more information.

I did elderodo last pcb. all metal parts is working very good. but the distinction is not doing good at the sound. In case of intermittent clapping sound is coming.
